Summer PARKLIFE events in Hull and Newark
I’m excited to be visiting my fave book store in Hull and spending a few days in lovely Newark for Newark Book Festival to talk all things Parklife - my new novel about addiction, recovery, friendship and music! Details and booking info below. If you’re in the area, please do come along and say hi…
Thursday 9 June - Wrecking Ball Music and Books, Hull
I’ll be joined by Wrecking Ball’s very own Dave Windass to chat about Parklife and read a few lines from the book. There will also be some great 90s tunes courtesy of my old college mate, the talented Martin Clappison, who will be playing an acoustic set (Martin’s former 90s band, King Rupert, make a fictional cameo in the book).
Wrecking Ball is a brilliant venue, so come along and browse the books and vinyl, grab a drink and enjoy the music and chat.
Tickets are just £5 each.
Saturday 9 July - Newark Book Festival
Music in Fiction
Sponsored by Peachy Events
I’m really excited to join Hull author Nick Quantrill, alongside David F Ross and Michelle Davies to talk all about music in fiction. I’ll of course be chatting about Parklife and The Twenty Seven Club, while David F. Ross will chat about his humorous book, There’s only one Danny Garvey. Michelle Davies new crime novel, The Death of Me, that follows the story of music journalist Natalie Glass, will also be on the agenda. Should be a lovely event - especially for all you music fans!
Tickets cost £6 Full / £5 Friends of the Festival
